Quirindi Jockey Club's Akubra Quirindi Showcase Cup meeting of the year has been transferred to Scone as a result of storm damage.
In a statement advising of the transfer of Friday's meeting on Wednesday, Racing NSW said that a storm on Tuesday had caused damage to the infrastructure of the Quirindi Racecourse.
It is the third race meeting that the Scone Jockey Club has picked up in the last two weeks.
Tamworth Jockey Club's meeting on February 10 was abandoned on the Monday and moved to Scone on Tuesday due to rain and the state of the track. Then on Friday, the club staged the Gunnedah Jockey Club's seven-race TAB meeting after the Riverside Racecourse was deemed too wet.
Quirindi's biggest meeting of the year, the eight-race meeting attracted 166 nominations on Monday including 21 in the $50,000 feature.
All races for Friday remained unchanged with the exception of the 1200m races that will now be conducted over 1250m.
