A couple more roads have been closed with Wallamore Road and Duri-Dungowan Road being added to the road closures list.
Council has also had reports of a drivers removing 'road closed' signs to use the roads.
Council reminded residents that: "As the flooding danger have not passed, we remind residents to follow road closure signs for their own safety."
Wallamore Road, closed between Evans Street and Kingsford Smith Street.
Duri Dungowan Road, closed between Loomberah Road and Tongues Lane.
Warral Road, near Timbumburi Creek, West Tamworth. Major pavement damage has occurred.
Burgmanns Lane, between Goonoo Goonoo Road and Burgess Lane.
Yesterday's storm had a spectacular light show and plenty of rain which led to floodwaters causing a number of roads to close.
Three roads remain closed around the Tamworth Regional Council area - Burgmanns Lane, Calala, Warral Road, Warral, William Street, Barraba - but major highways have reopened.
The Kamilaroi Highway, near Curlewis, and the Oxley Highway, west of Tamworth, both flooded yesterday but have since been reopened.
It all comes after more storms hit Tamworth hard yesterday afternoon.
Tamworth Airport recorded 24mm yesterday while Gunnedah Airport had 13.6mm.
There is more rain predicted this week.
There's an 80 per cent of showers today and a 70 per cent chance on Wednesday.
The outlook from Thursday onward into next week is for sunny days topping out at 30-31 degrees.
