Harry Wilson and Jock Campbell's Queensland Reds finished off a tough weekend with a 43-27 loss to the Jaguares in Argentina on Sunday morning.
In what was an entertaining tussle, the Reds produced some of their best rugby of the season to lead 24-12 at half-time after the home side scored in the closing seconds. But they were run down in the second half, Campbell's 53rd minute penalty their only points.
The former Inverell junior reveled in his switch to fullback making 34 metres, two tackle busts and one line break and delivering the final pass for the Reds third try, while Wilson continued his good form with 29 run metres.
On Friday night Alex Newsome's NSW Waratahs also slumped to their third defeat of the season with a 24-10 loss to the Melbourne Rebels in the wet.

Prior to that the Rebels women's side featuring Brooke Saunders and Ashleigh Walker, who was one of the home side's best, were beaten 33-3 by defending Super W champions the NSW Waratahs.
In the second game of the opening round, Claudia Nielsen's RugbyWA side went down 29-10 to the Brumbies in Canberra on Saturday.
Nielsen had some good involvements. She snaffled an intercept and a steal, and as former Wallaby captain George Gregan commented during the coverage, made some good reads in defence.
On another occasion Gregan called her "a busy player".
