The Central North junior representative program is set to kick-off this weekend with a trial day for the various Kookaburras boys and girls sides in Tamworth on Sunday.

To be held at the Plain Street Fields, it will be the first of two trial days with a second scheduled for Gunnedah next Sunday.
The zone have adopted an electronic nomination process this season and vice-president Darryl Martin said the interest so far has been promising.
"At this stage we're looking like we've got plenty of numbers in all age groups.
"We'll have sides in pretty much all divisions," he said.
Sunday has been split across two time slots with the trials for the boys under-12s, under-13s, under-14s and under-15s running from 9am-12pm, and the under-16 and open boys, and under-14, under-16 and under-18s girls following from 12.30-3.30pm.
The 14s girls has been introduced this season and is reflective of a growing interest in the game among young female players.

"The girls are really starting to take off," Martin said.
They won't play at the country championships but will compete at the state championships on the June long weekend along with the other Kookaburras sides.
Sunday's trials will consist of skills and drills sessions. The respective coaches and managers will also talk to the players and parents about their expectations.
In preparation for the season the coaches and managers recently attended a two day coaching development workshop.
The first championships for the year will be the under-12, 13s and 14s boys country champs at Nelson Bay on May 2 and 3.
Pre-nomination for the rep sides closes at 5pm on Saturday. Interested players are still welcome to attend tomorrow's trials but will have to fill in a manual nomination form.
