Oxley Police District detectives have started an investigation after a safe containing four firearms was stolen from Oxley Vale.
The incident occurred between 6:30pm Monday and 7pm Tuesday while the residents were away.
A Marlin bolt-action rifle, Rossi rifle, Savage rifle and a Stoeger rifle were stolen in the break-and-enter at the Oxley Vale home.
The firearms were taken from an approved firearm safe located at the property.

The theft was reported to officers attached to Oxley Police District and an investigation has commenced.
