Sellers of the Albert, Harvest Hotels, have offered their staff members employment at their other pubs - The Pig and Tinder Box and the soon-to-be-reopened Courthouse Hotel.

"When the Courthouse closed for renovation, Harvest Hotels extended the offer for staff from the Courthouse to work at the Albert or any of their other venues. Staff will again be offered the opportunity to take available positions to work at the Courthouse or The Pig and Tinder Box," Harvest Hotels said in a statement.

"Harvest Hotels' priority and first preference has always been to provide opportunities for the local communities in which we operate, and we encourage anyone in the Tamworth region who is looking for work within the local hospitality industry to get in touch at any time."

The Albert is set to change hands on February 29. The future of the pub is still unknown with the new owner yet to reveal his plans for the establishment.

What can be revealed is the grand plans Chris Cornforth and Fraser Haughton, directors of Harvest Hotels, have for The Courthouse Hotel.

The full scale redevelopment of the old pub, set to be completed by June, will include restoration of its heritage facade and the addition of a kids and family area and outdoor courtyard.

The Courthouse's public bar and dining spaces will also receive total makeovers in the renovation.

Individual spaces will be created for families, local workers, community groups as well as dedicated function and event areas.

"Our intention in renovating the Courthouse has been to provide a venue that seamlessly links all elements of the pub into a venue that is attractive, functional and welcoming for all," Harvest Hotels said in a statement.

"From people looking for a good night out with great food and drinks, to families looking for a venue that's suitable for kids, businesses looking to hold functions and to those who are just looking to unwind with a cold beer after work, The Courthouse 2.0 will be a venue that will cater for everyone."
