A Carroll man has been charged after police found a hydroponic cannabis set-up at a home.

Oxley police raided the property in Breeza Street just after 9.30am on Tuesday.
Police said they found the hydroponic set-up at the property and seized what they allege is 21 mature cannabis plants, leaf and a firearm component.
A 41-year-old man was arrested and taken to Gunnedah police station for questioning.
Police said a five-year-old child at the home at the time was placed into the care of a family member. A child-at-risk notification has also been made by police.

The man has been charged with possessing a prohibited drug; supplying drugs; enhanced indoor cultivate prohibited plant and expose child; and acquiring a firearm part without authority.
The man appeared at Gunnedah Local Court on Tuesday afternoon and was formally refused bail to appear at the same court in March.
Police said investigations are continuing.
