Ben Livingstone warmed up for next month's male under-15 national championships with an unbeaten century for Northern Inland at the Hunter Valley Macquarie Generation under-15s carnival.

In was was described as very hot and humid conditions, the Tamworth teenager and Northern Inland captain, hit 105no in their game against the hosts.
He was one of two century-makers for the carnival with Moree's Ed Montgomery coming out against North Coast the next day and hitting 100 (retired) off just 83 balls, including 10 fours and six sixes.
Both came on the final two days of what was a tough carnival for the side. They picked up just the one win - over Hunter Valley, but were unlucky not to finish with a win with North Coast reaching their 6-213 in the final over.
Mongtomery batted brilliantly at the top of the order with Zac Craig (41), the pair putting on 71 for the first wicket.

Craig backed up his efforts with the bat with 4-27 to finish their leading wicket-taker for the carnival, just ahead of Montgomery.
Charlie Harris (28) and Carter McIlveen (35) also made notable contributions with the bat during the carnival.
The Northern Inland under-14s meanwhile played in the Graeme Malcolm Shield in Newcastle.
Angus Harris was their top run-scorer with 91. Opening the batting, the Inverell youngster had an outstanding week retiring in their first three games.
Jack Hedges provided another highlight scoring an unbeaten 40 (retired) in their penultimate game.
Sebastian Brotherson was the leading wicket-taker with eight, and a best of 4-6.
Rohan Guest also had a good allround carnival. He was the second highest run-scorer and equal third top wicket-taker.
The Tamworth under-14s also competed at the carnival.
Samuel Holmes topped the runs for them with 93 and a highest score of 27no, while Cooper Sheridan lead the charge with the ball.
