It may not have exactly been a race in 2020, but the Great Country Duck Race has still managed to raise a huge amount of money for charity.

It didn't deter punters from buying a ticket with the Lions Club selling all 1500 tickets at $5 a pop as well as the 150 business tickets for $100 each.
However, the lions members did have to push to sell all the tickets.
"It was a hard sell because the crowd was down but people in general were good," Lions Club of Tamworth's Geoff Allen said.
"We had a lot of good buyers, $20 worth and so on. A lot were just ones and twos [tickets] but it all adds up.
"We got rid of all the ducks by Wednesday night."
There was a point when the lions didn't think they would sell all the ducks but they pushed on.
"We worked on that if we didn't quite sell them all, it's still money for charity in the Tamworth district," Mr Allen said.
It wasn't the only fundraising the lions did during Tamworth Country Music Festival.
"The lions club has a car raffle for their saving sight campaign so we sold a lot of the car tickets over the past two and a half days and ran out at 11am yesterday [Friday]," Mr Allen said.
Money raised from the ducks fundraiser will go toward prostate cancer research as well as other local charities.
While charity was the winner, a few lucky punters had some luck, too.
The duck drop went ahead at about 11am on Saturday morning.
There was three business drops followed by the big one of 1500 ducks.
The ducks were dropped from the bucket on a crane and three children ran into the enclosure and fished out the three winning numbers.
The winners of the big drop were:
- $1000: Deb McLenahan (no. 398)
- $300: Betty Hemphill (no. 745)
- $150: Riding for the Disabled (no. 81)
