In the early hours of this morning, the Westpac Rescue Helicopter was tasked by Ambulance New South Wales to reports of a vehicle being swept from the roadway following heavy rain at Spring Ridge.
Two males, both aged 35, and six dogs were trapped within rising flood water.
Local Ambulance Paramedic, Volunteer Rescue Association (VRA), State Emergency Service and Police Rescue Swift Water Rescue Technician responded to the location and assisted removal of the two male occupants and the dogs.
Once released the males were assessed by the Helicopter Critical Care Medical Team and deemed uninjured.
