OUR TOP PICKS
We want to help our readers kick off what is possibly the biggest weekend in country music with a bang. So, we've pulled out some of our top picks for day 9 and 10.
It's an early start with the Country Music Cavalcade in Peel Street from 9am.
See the best and brightest up-and-coming country artists on floats, in cars and on the back of trucks heading down the main street. It's an opportunity to wave to some of your favourites.
Make sure you get down there early to find a shady vantage point.
Take a stroll past the buskers and local traders down to The Albert Hotel for Simply Bushed.
The show is known to sell out, so make sure you buy tickets early or get in when doors open to secure a seat at midday.
RED CARPET GLAMOUR
Get down to TRECC to watch the stars in their finery walk the red carpet for the 2020 Golden Guitar Awards.
The Golden Guitar Awards start at 7pm, but people-watchers can get to the red carper from 5pm to watch the stars do their thing.
The awards are the biggest night of the year for Australian country artists.
THE SWEET JELLY ROLLS
One of our top picks if you like to boogie has to be The Sweet Jelly Rolls.
Packed fully of energy on stage, Matthew Golotta and Andrew Cavalieri are two cheeky young men who are known for their Americana sound. Catch The Sweet Jelly Rolls at The Tamworth Hotel from midday Sunday in the beer garden.
If you need a little break from straight country, check out alternative five-piece rock band The Rubens on Sunday night at The Albert Hotel from 8:30pm.
The Menangle, NSW band is well known for their songs Hoops and Lay It Down.
