NSW's golden run has continued at the Australian Indoor Hockey Festival, and again northern talent has played a vital role.
New England's Elliot Clarke and Lennox Neilson, and Tamworth's Mitchell Scott were part of the Lion's under-13s side that won gold while New England's Charlotte Portell won silver with the Lions girls.
The Lions boys secured the gold with a 3-2 win over Victoria.
It gave them five wins for the tournament, one draw and a loss.
Representing in NSW colours for the first time, Scott also found the back of the net, scoring in their 2-1 win over the NSW Stars' side featuring New England's Archie Clarke and Tom Ball.
The Lions girls recorded two wins, four draws and one loss from their seven games, and finished just a place ahead of their Stars counterparts. The Stars boys went on to finish sixth.
