Just ask Lee Kernaghan, he's seen bushfire devastation and drought ravage communities on his Backroad Nation tour around the country.
"There are some heartbreaking stories out there," he said. "The way people have come together in recent times to rally around the bushfire victims, I think it pulls at the heartstrings of all Australians and it makes me very proud."
Kernaghan is tied with Felicity Urquhart this year, up for eight Golden Guitar Awards.
His album Backroad Nation has already taken home Album of the Year, and he's back at Tamworth Country Music Festival to check out the buskers and blow the roof off TRECC.
