In fact, Coombes says he is one of the most sceptical people you'll come across.
"Sceptics have come along before and I also encourage a healthy scepticism," Coombes said.
"A lot of people say a lot of things but you have to be able to stand up and make a point and I do the very best to help the people I can."

Helping people is what Coombes says is at the heart of his shows and at his event, An Afternoon with Mitchell Coombes, in Tamworth on Saturday, he plans to do that again.
"When you come, I literally open the room up to the spirit world," Coombes said.
"I let the other side direct me to who I need to speak to.
"When people's loved ones come through with validating information - like how old they were when they passed; very specific details only they would know. It brings hope and inspiration. It lets us know that our loved ones are still around us.
"I feel our loved ones are our angels and I believe they walk with us and if they can come through and help us they will."
Coombes will give as many readings as he can during the two-hour event and he said to "expect the unexpected" at his shows.
"My events aren't about sensationalism but often something extraordinary happens," he said.
An Afternoon with Mitchell Coombes will be held at the Event Centre at Wests on Saturday at 2pm. Tickets cost $45 for the two-hour event.
