Now she's the 2020 Toyota Star Maker winner, and without further ado found herself chucked into the world of media and music madness.
"It's crazy, it hasn't registered just yet," she said.
"The whole experience last night was just out of this world."
White performed her debut hit, Dreaming My Sorrows at the Grand Final on Sunday night.
The Townsville artist has been on the talent quest circuit since she was nine years old.
Finally, she felt like she was in a place personally and professionally to tackle the competition, in her second year entering.

"I'm a songwriter at the end of the day and the thing I love about country music is that you can tell a story in a song," she said.
"For me it's like a diary, I grew up as a pretty shy kid so I always turned to writing instead of talking to people and sharing my feelings."
The $100,000 prize will see White tour festivals and record an EP.
