In preparation, the fundraising event on February 1 aims to raise awareness for the cause and drum up sponsorship for local riders.

Tamworth rider Dean Ellison said the nine-day journey was always a special event.
"This year the signature tour will be starting in Newcastle and finishing up in Noosa," Mr Ellison said.
"There is also the tour experience as well, which is only two days, but everyone needs to raise a minimum amount to ride.
"Events like this one are really important to help get that fundraising effort going and, given this year's ride comes through Tamworth, we're hoping we can raise some much-needed funds.
"It's really a special cause and something I know a lot of riders like to challenge themselves with, so hopefully we have a great turnout."
Mr Ellison said the 1400 kilometre ride would be a "gruelling challenge".
"At times it does get a bit tough, but 100 per cent of the profits go towards people impacted by cancer," he said.
"When the ride passes through Tamworth a donation will be made to a local cancer cause, which makes it all worthwhile.
"Everyone knows someone who has been touched in cancer in some way, so hopefully we people are keen to dig deep and donate to the cause."
