Rhiannon Byers will get another chance to press her claims ahead of this year's Tokyo Olympics after retaining her spot in the Australian women's sevens side for this weekend's HSBC World Sevens Series tournament in Hamilton.

It will be the fourth tournament the former Inverell Highlander has featured in after making her debut in the final round of last year's series.
The Aussie side will welcome back Emilee Cherry for this weekend's tournament with the Rio gold medallist to run out in the green and gold for the first time since 2018 after a battle with injury and the birth of daughter Alice last June.
Cherry has been re-building her body to make to peak fitness since her return to full training working alongside the Rugby Australia High Performance department to ensure she was ready for the rigours of international sevens.
Also re-joining the squad is Dom Du Toit and Emma Sykes with Du Toit playing in her first World Series tournament since Sydney last year.

The Aussies will meet Brazil, Russia and the USA in Pool B as they look to continue their strong start to the season. They currently sit second on the overall ladder with 50 points, six points behind New Zealand.
"It's great to welcome back Emilee to the playing squad and it is a credit to herself and our high-performance staff that she's ready to play international rugby again," Qantas Australian Women's Sevens head coach, John Manenti said.
"Additionally, Dom Du Toit and Emma Sykes have both put their hands up for selection following injury battles and have been working hard off the field to get back into the gold jersey."
