Easts' Mitch Foster claimed 6-35, and a hat-trick, in their 60-run victory.
"He has probably been the pick of our bowlers all year to be honest," Easts' captain Sam Uphill said.
"He is a young fella who is learning a fair bit and is finding out what first grade is all about.
"He bowled pretty quick too on the weekend, that was probably the quickest they have come out all year for him."
Easts batted first and lost three of their top order in quick succession, with Hillgrove's Max Laurie snaring the wickets, before Sam Hutton and Ian Ranger provided a steady partnership to get them past the 100-mark.
Ranger departed on 28 off Max Alcorn's bowling and Luke Uphill stepped up.
Hillgrove then opted to use two of their teenage bowlers Olly Schmude and Ben Heagney towards the end of the innings.
Schmude bowled Luke Uphill for 28 and then Heagney denied Hutton his century when he ensured he would head back to the sheds on 96.

Both teenagers snared three wickets each with Schmude finishing on 3-16 and Heagney 3-5, leaving Easts thankful their opponents didn't opt to use them earlier in the match.
"I am glad that Olly Schmude didn't bowl any earlier, he bowled well," Sam Uphill said.
"And the other one [Heagney], he batted well too. He did really well."
With the ball, Uphill admitted they struggled early on.
"Schaef [Matt Schaefer] scored 50 in the first nine overs or something so we were scratching our heads wondering how we were going to stop him," he said.
Uphill took the first two wickets of Dave Schmude and Josh Croft for five each before Foster' snagged Alcorn's wicket for five.
Brandon Burey then claimed Brad King's wicket for 14.
Then Foster landed his hat-trick. First Schaefer went for 84, then Olly Schmude and Pat Rankmore departed for ducks.
Burey had his second wicket with Heagney dismissed for eight.
Hamish Biddle made six and Dick Heagney 14 as the last two wickets to fall, courtesy of Foster, when Hillgrove were bowled out for 149.
