THE Gunnedah Automotive Premier League Twenty20 competition is set to return to Kitchener Park on Friday evening.

The six-week tournament will pit the Signprint Stitch Stars, McDonalds Chargers, Imperial Hotel Tigers and Ultrafleet-Mannion Drilling Bulls against each other.
The 14-man squads will be made up of players from across the region and will pit regular club teammates against each other.

Gunnedah District Cricket Association secretary James Mack said this year's competition was shaping up to be one of the best yet.
"We're really happy with the amount of numbers we've rounded up for this year's competition," Mack said.
"The competition will be played on Friday night at Kitchener Park for six weeks, with the top two teams to play off in a final on week seven.
"We wouldn't be able to run this competition without our sponsors, especially Gunnedah Automotive, so we're really grateful for the support."
Mack said this year's version of the competition would have "added features".
"One of the more exciting changes we have this year is the 'catch in the crowd' competition we have going," he said.
"McDonalds have been kind enough to offer up $100 for each Friday night for any one-handed catches that are taken in the crowd.
"If one person takes a catch on the night, they'll take home the cash, otherwise it will be divided up by however many people take a catch.
"Hopefully this will be another way of encouraging a big crowd to come along and have a bit of fun."
Friday night's action will pit the Tigers against the Bulls in the first match from 5.30pm, before the Chargers and the Stars do battle at 8pm.
"It should be really interesting to see who the competition leaders will be this year," Mack said.
"The teams are all pretty even and are all pretty talented.
"Every side has a junior and senior captain again, so hopefully it should be pretty entertaining."
