Construction began in September on the $5.3 million project and its set to open by July 1.
The finished project will be one of the largest fire stations in NSW, designed with input from Tamworth Fire and Rescue NSW, acting chief superintendent Tom Cooper said.
"There's a growing demand in regional NSW in particular for HAZMAT," he said.
"This will give us the facility in years down the track to house a larger HAZMAT vehicle and farm appliances to help at the airport and during the bushfire crisis like we're seeing now."

The new fire station will house permanent firefighters and be a 24/7 station.
Tamworth MP Kevin Anderson said he was excited about the construction progress.
"We know this side of town has been earmarked as a hotspot and we need to reduce the times for response," he said.
