The Bush Blues headed into Wednesday's country championships round eight clash full of momentum after winning two games in a row.
However, a strong batting display from Western Australia's Bevan Bennell (88) gave the Bush Blues an imposing total of 8-262 to chase in their 50 overs.

Regular wickets stifled the Bush Blues' chances of chasing the total.
However, North Tamworth's Michael Rixon (24) put up strong resistance alongside Nicholas Foster (36).
The partnership was the end of the Bush Blues' resistance, as captain Tom Groth's fifth-ball duck sparked a lower-order collapse, which caused the side to be dismissed for 179.
The loss was the Bush Blues fourth of the tournament to go with four victories.
Thursday's action will pit the Bush Blues against Queensland at Toowoomba's Heritage Oval.
