The 10-bedroom facility with en suites, a share kitchen and barbecue facilities offers cancer patients receiving rounds of radiation a "home away from home" set up.
Inverell Breast Cancer Support Group president Trish Keightley said last year, the group made a $5,000 donation to Inala House.
"This year we decided we were in a position to double that, and with so many more people from Inverell using Inala House, we thought this would benefit everyone from Inverell, men and women."
As radiation treatment is not available in Inverell, residents have the option to travel to Tamworth or further afield to Coffs Harbour or other city areas. Inverell Breast Cancer Support Group thanked every single person who donated funds to the group throughout the year, allowing them to give such a generous handout.
Recently, the Viking Breed SMC held a poker run raising $4000 for the support group and an $11,000 donation was made through Regional Australia Bank's Community Partnership Program.
"A lot of community members held various events in October to raise money for us. Ditton's Pharmacy, Campbell and Freebairn, Inverell Hospital Staff and Inverell Community Transport all made donations."
Cancer Council community programs coordinator for New England Paul Hobson and NSW community relations coordinator Tracey Cullen accepted the donation in Inverell on Wednesday.
Paul said around $50,000 over the last two years has been subsidised for the Inverell community staying at either Inala House or emergency accommodation when overflow occurs.
"We have a relationship with Ibis and the local caravan park so when we're full, which is most of the time, we can still put them up. Inverell actually uses our overflow accommodation more than anywhere else in New South Wales," he said.
