Watching the drama unfold on the sidelines week in and week out, our sports journalists have been privileged to see some of the region's best players battle it out.
It would be fair to say the past decade has been the tale of two teams.
West Lions and the North Tamworth Bears put their mark on the decade by sharing all 10 premierships between them and squaring off in five of those grand finals.
Many great teams rose but it was the Lions and the Bears who reigned supreme between 2010 and 2019.
North Tamworth
Runners up: three (2011, 2012, 2013).
For the Bears, the beginning of the decade was filled with heartache as they suffered three consecutive grand final defeats.
However, from disappointment came achievement as the men from Jack Woolaston Oval went on to claim six-straight premierships.
Adding to the club's golden period was taking out the Clayton Cup for the best side in country rugby league in 2014 and 2019.
West Lions
Premierships: four (2010, 2011, 2012, 2013).
Runners up: two (2015, 2016).
Much like the Bears, the past decade is set to live long in the memory for West Lions fans.
Starting the decade with a dominant 55-12 grand final win over Wee Waa, the Lions went on a run to savour.
From there, consecutive wins over cross-town rivals the North Tamworth Bears ensured West remained one of the competition's most successful clubs.
We know success isn't always measured by the tally in the wins column.
Did we leave anyone off the list?
