Wests are second last on the ladder, with just one win, going into their clash against competition leaders Old Boys at Riverside 2 on Saturday.
But while Wests would love a T20 springboard, their captain Shaun Stevenson does not believe the game's shortest format is his side's strength.

"[I] probably wouldn't say it's our strongest suit ... probably more suits Old Boys," he said. "They're obviously pretty impressive.
"We were pretty close in the one-dayers - we were getting a few [good] scores."
Indeed, Stevenson said there were "some good signs" that Wests were on the verge of tapping a richer form vein.
"We've only had the one win for the year, which isn't great," he said.
"But we were obviously in a similar spot last year.

Wests only secured one T20 win last year, but found good form after Christmas and rolled into the grand final.
In other matches on Saturday, Bective East and South Tamworth meet at Riverside 2, while North Tamworth and City United clash at No 1 Oval.
