This week, the city has used just over 19 megalitres per day. The target for level five restrictions is 16 megalitres a day.
The temporary pipeline from the Dungowan weir - the city's primary water source - can only handle 20 megalitres a day. Chaffey Dam is currently at 15.2 per cent capacity.
Residents are able to collect a shower timer from council offices across the region.
After an overwhelming take up of the timers, council has purchased 5000 more for those who may have missed out the first time around.
Reducing showers is one of the easiest ways to reduce water consumption inside the home.
The pipeline from Manilla River to the weir on the Namoi has also been completed, which will increase water security for Manilla.
