Santa Claus and his elves delivered some early Christmas cheer, and one or two presents, which were donated as part of the Sydney Santa Spectacular at Penrith Panthers.
"For most of us Christmas is an exciting time, but with the drought and economic hardships, for some families it's a time of year that adds another layer of stress and pressure to find money to buy gifts for children," founder Jade Evans said.
"We hope Santa's visit and the present drop helps bring some much needed Christmas joy to families who are struggling."

Any gifts that are left over from the Spectacular will be given to children who will be spending their Christmas in hospital.
Since the Sydney Santa Spectacular event began four years ago the event organisers have delivered more than 15,000 gifts to sick children at the Children's Hospitals in Randwick and Westmead.
