Moore survived five putt-offs to make it to the last hole in the final of the shoot-out at Moree Golf Club.
Having played a scrambled game up until the ninth hole, Moore saved his best performance until last and managed to beat Maynard, much to the relief of the fellow right-handers.
Shoot-out coordinator Howard Meppem said there's always contention when left-handers play, and two managed to make the top 10 this year.
"It's a lot of fun," he said.

The shoot-out runs from July to December each year, with about 50 veterans golfers participating each Thursday.
All competitors tee-off from the first hole and the person furthest from the hold drops out until two people are left to play the ninth and final hole.
Each week points are accumulated and the top 10 scorers over the six months then come together for the Top Ten Shoot-Out, to determine the overall winner of the competition.
This year's top 10, in points order, were Peter McFadyen, Graham Maynard, Bobby Conroy, Ken Amos, Russell Carty, Phillip Matthews, David Wheaton, Guy Hovenden, David Moore and Peter Nolan.
The competition has been running for 10 years now, with Major Metals the sponsor for the past decade.
Moree Veterans Golf Club would like to thank Major Metals for their sponsorship over the past 10 years.
