The Tamworth trainer, sitting sixth on the Hunter and North West Racing Association trainer's premiership with seven wins, will travel to Rosehill Gardens with the in-form Burning Crown.
Blinkin Fast will fly the stable flag at Gunnedah in the $22,000 Mannion Drilling Christmas Cup Benchmark 66 Handicap (1600m) on Saturday.
While Burning Crown has drawn ideally in barrier four, Blinkin Fast has drawn barrier seven in the nine-horse Christmas Cup field at the Riverside Racecourse.
Blinkin Fast, a six-year-old gelding, has had a run of bad barrier draws.
"He's been unlucky," she said. "Seven in a field of 14 or 15 would be good but there's only nine in it.
"The good thing is there is a very good straight run to the first corner."
With a big straight, Riverside presents a fair test for all.
Blinkin Fast has raced there three times at the course and was unplaced in all of them.
Last time out, he was beaten a short half head at Quirindi in the Werris Creek Cup, by the Peter Sinclair-trained Moree Dreaming. Sinclair, second in the HNWRA trainer's premiership, has Bush Battlers Cup winner Danigree entered in the Christmas Cup.
The biggest obstacle for Blinkin Fast might be his jump in weight. After carrying 54kg at Quirindi, he jumps to 60kg for Saturday's race, with Greg Ryan jumping back on.
A win in the Christmas Cup would enable Blinkin Fast to crash through the $100,000 prizemoney barrier.
His five wins and seven placings have earned him $91,205 in prizemoney so far.
Blinkin Fast is one of four runners Grill's will have at Gunnedah but she will be in Sydney with Burning Crown.
Her talented four-year-old, who has won four of his 13 starts for almost $160,000 in prizemoney, tackles the $125,000 Schweppes Handicap (1200m).
"He's fine, done well since his win at Newcastle," she said. "I'm very happy with him."
Jockey Jason Collett will reunite with the son of Helmet after piloting him to his impressive win on The Hunter Day in Newcastle.
Burning Crown ran a track record when he won at the Coonabarabran Cup meeting two starts back.
"He went close to the Newcastle track record too," Grills said.
She said the instructions for Jason Collett will be simple.
"As long as he is happy, just to bowl along," she said.
