Teachers from Tamworth's schools gathered at Wests' League Club for a stop-work meeting to discuss the NSW Department of Education offer.
The approved vote will mean teachers will be paid an extra 2.5 per cent from January 2020 and an increase of 2.28 per cent from 2021, with another .22 per cent paid as superannuation.

The vote on salary and conditions will also protect teachers' current benefits, preserve the school counselling service and lead to improvements for teachers at the Saturday School of Community Languages.
NSW Teachers Federation president Maurie Mulheron said the pay increase was the maximum permitted under the NSW Public Sector Wages Policy.
"NSW is the only state with legislation to enforce its salary cap, which applies to all employee-related costs including; salaries, wages, allowances and other remuneration, improvements to conditions, staffing levels, superannuation and other employment benefits," he said.
Mr Mulheron said teachers also voted to condemn the NSW Government for its unjust wages policy, which includes a 2.5 per cent salary cap and restricts access to the NSW Industrial Relations Commission to run Work Value cases.
