NSW Teachers Federation members from across the region will gather at the Wests League Club to hear the presidential officers' report on salary negotiations.
During the meeting, between 8.30am and 10.30am, students at Tamworth's public primary and secondary schools will be provided minimal supervision.

The Leader understands the federation members will vote on incorporating a pay rise, which could come into effect from the first pay period of 2020.
Peel High School took to social media to inform parents of the meeting.
"The NSW Teachers Federation has called upon its members to stop work on Thursday, December, 5 commencing at 8.45am, in order to hear the latest reports from the presidential officers on salary negotiations," the post read.
"Peel High School will be open and we are able to provide minimal supervision for students until 10.30am.
"No classes will be taught during this time.
"Students attending during this time should report to the MPC where they will be supervised.
"Roll call will be held in the usual classrooms at 10.30am, with year meetings taking place after roll call.
"Bell times will then run as scheduled."
An outcome of the vote is expected to be announced on Thursday afternoon.
