AN ELDERLY couple have been treated by paramedics after their car lost control and crashed near Tamworth on Tuesday morning.

The pair were travelling on the New England Highway at Nemingha, when their car left the road and rolled several times into a paddock, shortly after 11am.
Police, ambulance and fire crews rushed to the scene, just past the Nundle Road intersection to find the wreckage in the paddock.

Ambulance NSW confirmed paramedics treated a 75-year-old woman for a head injury and concussion.
A 75-year-old man was also assessed at the scene but was not injured and declined transport.
The woman was taken to Tamworth hospital in a stable condition. The man was also transported to hospital as a precaution with his wife.
Investigations into the cause of the crash are continuing.
