WOMEN in drought-stricken communities are set to be pampered thanks to the Riverina Group of Country Women's Association (CWA).
The group has been busy sourcing donations of products such as cosmetics and toiletries to be distributed to all 10 branches within the CWA's Wanthella group.
Each group will receive nine pamper packs to be distributed throughout the branches' communities.
Wanthella group president Betty-Anne White said the consignment arrived in Tamworth on Monday and would be distributed in the coming days.
"Today [Monday], we received 95 of these very special packs containing all sorts of 'pampering' items for ladies," Mrs White said.
"The heart-warming messages drawn on the bags by the children of the Thurgoona Public School, wishing the ladies well and hoping the drought does not last too much longer, would bring tears to your eyes to read."
Members of the Riverina group will now spend the next few days assembling the pamper packs for distribution across the Wanthella group.
