The award was presented in front of nearly 1,000 guests, including NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian, at the Sydney International Convention Centre, on Friday night.
"The state-wide awards program continues to grow each year with over 2,000 businesses entering each year. Given the challenging business conditions, it is rewarding to see so many examples of people taking a risk and changing lives through their drive, courage and creativity," said NSW Business Chamber Regional Manager, Joe Townsend.
"Celebrating their 10th Anniversary, Tamworth City Dance Academy's strategic plan has made success part of their DNA. Outgrowing their original studio, upgrading their premises increased certain overheads by 500 per cent.
"Luckily the growth continued and the risk paid-off, with their new premises offering a safer environment for new and improved income streams."
"At the heart of Tamworth City Dance Academy is Kellie and Paul Singh who attribute their success to their community of over 450 students from over 350 families in Tamworth and Quirindi.
"As the winner of Excellence in Small Business, Tamworth City Dance Academy, not only stand out commercially they also are a shining light within the community donating their time and resources to many charities ranging from 'Epiphanies' mental health through to Cancer Council and Westpac Rescue Helicopter.
