It's hoped a bit of country spirit will help those on the frontline in NSW and QLD, with two Country 4 Our Country benefit concerts.
Driven by Tamworth's Chris Watson the shows have been embraced by Toyota Country Music Festival artists to raise funds for The Salvation Army.
Unprecedented drought conditions had made the outbreak of the fires even more difficult to come back from, Mr Watson said.
"The drought has already tested the resilience of many, and now to see communities face the threat of these intense bushfires is gut wrenching," he said.
"Losing lives, homes and our beautiful wildlife certainly makes you realise we have a lot of healing ahead.
"We are so thankful to those working on the frontline, including firefighters, and it's times like these that the Aussie country spirit is needed more than ever."
Award-winning artist Travis Collins was the first to put up his hand to join the line up.
He'll be joined at the West Tamworth Leagues Club by Catherine Britt, Ashleigh Dallas, Aleyce Simmonds, Rex Dallas, Brooke Lambert and Dan Murphy, plus some special guests.
Collins said he loves that Australians chip in to help mates, neighbours and even strangers.
"It's who we are," he said.
"These latest bushfires have cost many Aussies their homes, their livelihoods and sadly for some, their loved ones.

"So while our brave emergency services and volunteers continue to work to bring these fires under control, we'll be rolling up our sleeves and doing what we know, helping through music."
The Country 4 Our Country Concert is on Friday November 29 at West Tamworth Leagues Club, with a second concert on the Central Coast December 1.
