Police said Kaylah Francisco has not been seen since leaving her home at about 10am.
Officers believe the 14-year-old could be in the Uralla area, and are appealing for public help to find her.
Kaylah is described as having a solid build, with blonde hair and a light brown complexion, but police are unable to give a description of the clothing she was last seen.

Search for stolen car
OFFICERS are searching for a car that was stolen during a break-and-enter in Tamworth in the early hours of Tuesday.
The 2018 grey Toyota Rav4 station wagon was reported stolen from an Amaroo Road home in Hillvue at about 4am.
The car has not been sighted since. It is bearing number plates DWD-82D.
Police have appealed for locals to keep a look out for the car and anyone who sights it is urged to contact Tamworth police.
