THE Gunnedah Cycling and Triathlon Club is heralding its first event of the season as a major success.
Held at the Gunnedah Memorial Swimming Pool, the event offered three races for competitors of all abilities.
The event not only ushered in the beginning of the new season, but also the club's first twilight event of the new series.
As well as catering for experienced competitors, the event also offered the chance for kids of all ages to try their hand at the sport's three disciplines.
The club took to social media to thank all the competitors who took part in the maiden event of the season.
"Great racing yesterday [Sunday] at our first twilight triathlon for the season," the post read.
"Three separate races catered for all levels of ability and the big smiling faces says it all."
"Many thanks to Gordon Turner Motorcycles for sponsoring first, second and third places in the Enticer and Short courses."
The club will now turn its attention to the season's second triathlon in December.
"[We] hope to see you all at our December triathlon," the post read.
