The under-12 and under-14 teams will be in competition, while the under-16 side will have a bye.
Despite struggling for numbers so far this season, Gunnedah Junior Cricket Association president Andrew Johns believes Gunnedah will field two strong sides on Sunday.
"Numbers have been an issue for the under-14 side, they had to forfeit the last round at Inverell," Johns said.
"However, numbers have been strong at under-12 level and our under-16 team merged with Narrabri.
"From that perspective things are looking up and we're confident our teams will go well this weekend."

Johns said all of the players had improved significantly since the beginning of the season.
"For my under-16 team, we've been focusing on shot selection for the batsmen and for the bowlers, bowling full and straight," he said.
"The kids are getting better every week, which is always pleasing to see."
The under-12 game will be played on a synthetic wicket and the under-14 game on a turf wicket.
Players are asked to be at the ground at 8.30am on Sunday.
