This year there is an amazing experience on offer at this German-inspired market. It includes shopping for quality handmade Christmas gifts, Christmas music, lights and children's activities including a visit from Santa.
Stay on and have dinner there's plenty of seating or bring a picnic rug. Don't forget your jacket as Nundle notoriously becomes a little chilly when the sun goes down. Enjoy Bratwurst sausages, Reuben Sandwich, dinner platters; some showcasing the renowned Hanging Rock trout. Vegetarian visitors are also catered for. Finish off with sweet pastries or a treat from the icecreamery.
And it doesn't stop there. Don't miss the live entertainment with musician Tori Saunders and a live re-enactment of the Nativity Scene showcasing young, local, up and coming performing arts students. Included in the cast is a donkey and a gorgeous three month old baby.
Nundle is now home to many Europeans who miss their traditional Christmas market back home. Lions Club member and market organiser Susi Reiger, from Germany herself, is one of those Nundle locals who decided to try to re-create this Christmas-community atmosphere with the twilight market.
