Over the past month, the weekly Kick-On for Women program has seen several local women try their hand at soccer for the first time.
As a part of Northern NSW Football's state-wide initiative, the sessions put women through their paces in a variety of skill-based drills.

Northern Inland Football general manger Julia Farina said the program had been very popular so far.
"Most weeks we are averaging about 30 players, which is just outstanding," Farina said.
"We are seeing some really positive numbers, in terms of participation, right across the region.
"Each week, everyone is learning something new and having a really good time doing it.
"The great thing about our sport is that it really does go all year round and this program is proof of that."
Farina said she was hopeful the program would encourage more women to get involved in the game at a club level.
"For us, it's really important to create pathways for people to become involved in the game long-term," she said.
"Programs like this one and our new Walking Football program are aimed to get people involved at a grass roots level.
"Hopefully people have a lot of fun in these types of programs and we will see our women's competitions continue to grow."
Despite being at the half-way point, Farina said it was not too late to get involved.
"We are halfway through, but we will be looking to run this program again in the future," she said.
"The sessions are run at Viaduct Park on Tuesday evenings after the girls Mini Roos program.
"It would be great to see some new faces come down."
