The My TRC Online Community includes more than 25 content tools making it easy for residents to find out about upcoming major Council activities, and has drawn a positive response so far.
The portal allows us to present current projects with all the important information in an easy-to-read design, and incorporates tools which make it simple to give feedback.
Since its launch last year, we have seen a growing number of community members getting involved with projects featured on the portal.
Tamworth Regional Council is among the first councils in NSW to use the platform.
My TRC Online Community is a single portal for online engagement activities and creates a space where users can ask questions directly to a project expert.
Though we will always prefer to have face-to-face engagement with our community, this platform is a great way to reach people who can't attend a community workshop or visit an information stand, and gives them the tools to stay informed at a time which suits them.
You can find a link to the platform on the home page of Council's website, accessed by clicking on the "Have Your Say" icon.
The two most recent projects to be added are the proposal for a Tamworth Performing Arts Centre and Cultural Precinct and the review of the Bicentennial Park Masterplan.
The draft Bicentennial Park Masterplan is on public exhibition until 28 November 2019 and is now open for participation online. The page includes proposed concepts, detailed information and the opportunity to provide feedback.
The Tamworth Performing Arts Centre and Cultural Precinct business case including concept designs is also now live. Residents can provide their opinions before 5pm on Tuesday 19 November, 2019.
