Park manager Leith Smith said a lot of months of planning had gone in to organise the afternoon, but it was worth it during these tough times.
"The drought in the region at the moment is incredible, it's a family get together event and if there's no clouds in the sky for rain it makes sense to take advantage of the clear sky with the astronomy club," Mr Smith said.
"We're hoping that if it's a success [Reflections Holiday Parks will] try it through most of the inland parks."
Activities will kick off at 12pm with a petting zoo, kids water park disco, and jumping castle. There will also be an open kiosk, barbecue, fairy floss and coffee van on offer.
Joel McKay will then take the stage for live music from 6pm-8pm, before the stargazing begins.
Those interested can book in to stay at the park or pay $20 for a day pass by visiting www.reflectionsholidayparks.com.au or calling 6769 7605.
