The forums, organised by council and Tamworth Business Chamber, will be held on Monday, November 11.

Tamworth Business Chamber chief executive Sam Rains urged businesses to register their interest.

Mr Rains said the three forums would focus on retail, the construction industry and the tourism and hospitality sectors.

"The ongoing drought and current water situation in our region is impacting our local businesses in many different ways," Mr Rains said.

"It is important to both council and the business chamber that we work with our local businesses to provide them with information and tools during these difficult times."

The forums will include an update from council staff on the current water situation and insights from businesses who are leading the way when it comes to water efficiency.

There will also be the opportunity to ask questions about how water restrictions will impact businesses and a space to share ways in which residents believe council can help businesses get through the drought.

"We've been fighting hard at the Tamworth Business Chamber to get better rebates for businesses from council," Mr Rains said.

"There has been a strong focus on residential but the small-to-medium business sector in towns have been forgotten in this drought.

"I urge business owners to please participate and speak to the council at these meetings so we can get the message across and help support our local businesses better."
