After months of investigations, officers swooped on Tuesday, raiding a Learmonth Street home in Willow Tree.
Police allege they uncovered a pistol, ammunition, a crossbow, drugs suspected to be methylamphetamine, as well as cannabis plants and other prohibited drugs.
The goods were seized at the scene by officers.
Oliver was arrested at 8.55am on Wednesday and questioned by investigators before being charged.
He's accused of supplying more than an indictable quantity of drugs; cultivating a prohibited plant; suspected stolen goods in custody; possessing an unauthorised prohibited firearm, as well as a prohibited weapon without a permit; possessing ammunition; not keeping a prohibited firearm safely; and two counts of possessing prohibited drugs, as well as a restricted substance.
The most serious charge - possessing an unauthorised prohibited firearm - carries a maximum of 14 years' imprisonment, if found guilty.
After Thursday's court appearance, Oliver was transferred into the custody of Corrective Services NSW and will remain behind bars until he returns to court in Tamworth in mid-November.
Investigations by Strike Force Burchmore are continuing.
