"It's onwards and upwards," spokesperson Steph Halpin said.
In the pipeline for around 12 months, the carnival drew local talent as well as players from Gunnedah, Newcastle and Brisbane.
Jet's Mob claimed the overall honours after defeating Halpin's Halpin's Plumbing team in the final 4-2.
The Australian representative said the idea behind the carnival was to try and increase the profile of touch in Tamworth, with the sport having "slipped off the radar" a bit in recent times.
Secondary to that was to give players from around the region the chance to play some good quality touch.
They ended up with five teams which for the first year they were pretty with. It is a good starting to build from with the feedback "all very positive", Halpin said.
"We started with quite a small carnival but a very successful one," she said.
She said they are already looking at how they can improve it for next year.
"We're planning to go ahead with it next year," she said.
"It's good timing. It leads into the State Cup in December."
The carnival was also a good development opportunity for some of the young kids in the association, who helped out as referees and in other capacities and did a fantastic job.
