IT WAS certainly soggy under foot on Saturday.
But it appears much of Friday's drenching missed the official Bureau of Meteorology rain gauge at the Tamworth airport.
There was a grand total of 1mm recorded on the western side of town.
East Tamworth copped a heavy dumping of rain in the afternoon and it was followed up by some lighter showers in the evening.
Some residents reported heavier at Manilla as well.
An upper-level trough interacting with moisture-laden onshore winds was predicted by Weatherzone to produce widespread showers and storms over eastern Australia between Thursday and Sunday.
Showers and thunderstorms will be hit and miss during the next few days, with some places likely to see heavy rain and others possibly missing out altogether, Weatherzone's meteorologists predicted.
On Saturday, the Bureau of Meteorology is predicting a 70 per cent chance of 1-3mm.
