THE Manilla Tigers will be looking to recreate the club's recent reserve-grade premiership success in the women's nines competition.
Re-entering the Group 4 competition this year after sitting out the 2018 season, the Tigers will be looking to make a name for themselves in this year's event.
The Tigers will help begin this year's nines competition by taking on the Kootingal-Moonbi Roosters in the opening game at Ken Chillingworth Oval on Saturday.
The 2019 Group 4 regular season yielded mixed results for Manilla.
Despite taking out the reserve-grade title, the club's ladies league tag side had a tough season, recording just two wins for an eighth-place finish.
However, the inclusion of some fresh faces is expected to help boost the Tigers' hopes in this year's nines competition.
Saturday's first game will begin at 1.15pm, followed by the South West Robins v Boggabri clash at 1.55pm and the Gunnedah v Werris Creek fixture at 2.35pm.
