Strong winds drive another fire towards town, and flare up Drake fire

The Kildare Road fire was started just west of the Tenterfield on Tuesday afternoon was being brought under control overnight as conditions on the fireground eased. The RFS advises there is no immediate threat to properties in the area but that residents should monitor conditions in case the situation changes.
