How would you rate your season out of 10?

7/10.

We played some really good games against good teams but had some shockers as well. We had a few new players and since Jeff [Talbot] has come along, he's helped a fair bit with getting a game plan together. That's been a big improvement.

In your opinion, who were your top three players in 2019?

Ed George was pretty high up there. I just like the way he gets back and takes that defensive mark across centre and half back line.

Also Dunny [Liam Dunn]. I think we're a lot better team with Dunny in the side.

And Ross Fraser. I think we really missed him when he hurt his finger. We missed that target up forward.

What was the highlight of 2019?

The finals was my highlight, the result wasn't. When we played Moree at Moree, we were down a couple good players and had to the win to make finals. I was really impressed that day. To go up there and to win has been pretty hard for us so that was a highlight for me.

Where does the team need to improve heading into 2020?

We've got a lot more experience now and I think if we can pick up a bit more on our game plan we'll be a much better team. We don't have to go defensive [like we used to], we can play how we like to play at the start and see how the game flows after that.

Will you be coaching again next year?

I'll have to apply for it, I guess. If there's somebody else a lot better than me, I'm happy to step aside but I'll be applying.
