Organisers say about 12,000 people flocked to the event over Saturday and Sunday for world and boutique cuisine, market stalls and kids' fun.
It was the travelling event's first time in the city, but event manager Sam Adams said his team was now "close to settling on dates" to return during the Tamworth Country Music Festival.
The "moving night market" is Sydney-based but visits regional locations; before Tamworth it was in Goulburn, and this weekend it will be in Wagga Wagga.
"It seemed like a really good turnout: we had a lot of positive feedback from people happy with the turn-up to our vendors, really excited to try out some new things," Mr Adams said.

"In terms of attendance, it's probably one of the biggest events we've ever done ... it was really well-supported by the Tamworth community."
Although the numbers are "just an eyeball" figure until they're officially crunched, Mr Adams said they were about 6000 to 7000 on the Saturday and about 5000 on the Sunday.
"We're looking at coming back at the beginning of the music festival weekend, and we might have to do another day just to get everyone through," he said.
"Really only half [our vendors] turned up to this one, but ... in January we've only got one event and so we're hoping to bring the full layout of the team.
"We've also talked about the jockey club opening up another area for us for more rides ...
"We had about 30 food vendors, and we'd be hoping to bring closer to 40-plus and have a bigger retail set-up as well.
"We had had about 20 there and we'd hope to get closer to 50."
