Tamworth's own traditional performer lost the title to artistic pole dancer Kristy Sellars at Sunday night's grand final.
The 29-year-old told The Leader it meant the world to him to be able to have his language heard by Australia's across the nation.
"I was really happy with the performance and feel really blessed to have been able to finish my Australia's Got Talent journey with an original song in my Gamilaraay language," he said.
"To have the support of Tamworth, my home town, has been amazing.
"All the messages I have received from the Tamworth region of love and support has been incredible.
"I hope to come back in the near future and share my music."
Fans have now called for the Gamilaraay and Birri Gubba man to represent Australia at the next Eurovision song contest.

Tambo scored two golden buzzer's on the talent show, and said the experience had put him in good stead for the future.
"The Australia's Got Talent experience definitely puts you in a position to grow and stretch yourself as an artist and that alone for me has been such a blessing," he said.
"I hope to release new music, tour and release new programs to target youth in which I'm very passionate about also."
